Allow primary school children term time holidays to match inset and strike days
Allow all primary school children as many days of holiday during term time as schools force children to stay away due to inset and strike days
Because
1) primary school children benefit educationally, socially and emotionally from time spent on vacation with their parents
2) primary school children are not subject to the curricular pressures that secondary age children are, and neither are their teachers
3) if educators exclude children during term time (as opposed to during the school holidays) for the school's convenience then families should, in fairness, benefit correspondingly
4) this modest and reasonable flexibility allows parents to schedule more affordable and less overcrowded holidays that fit better with the constraints posed by employers
