Allow parents back into nurseries and early learning facilities.
The restriction on parents entering nurseries and early learning facilities has been kept in place when other businesses' restrictions have been eased.
Remove the current Covid restriction that prevents parents and guardians from entering nurseries and early learning centers.
Currently, parents are not allowed to enter the building where their child is being cared for. This lack of transparency and visibility is driving down the standard of care which will ultimately be putting our children at risk. Parents are unable to witness the interactions between their child and their caregiver and with other children. This is no longer acceptable when parents and children are allowed to interact in other environments like soft plays, sports centres and clubs.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you're concerned about parents being able to visit early years and other childcare settings. However there is no current Government guidance banning such visits, so it's not clear what you want the Government to do differently. Decisions about entering such settings are matters for individual childcare settings, so if you wish to complain about the visit policy at a particular local setting, you could contact them.
