Add sign language and lip reading to the national curriculum
I want all schools to be required to teach sign language and lip reading, so young people who are deaf or have hearing-related disabilities have the chance to learn the language they need to move forward with their life in school.
This change would also mean other students would be better able to communicate with children with hearing-related disabilities.
