Petition Action

Teach Sign Language in all UK schools at all levels as part of the curriculum.

Petition Details

We want sign language to be taught in all UK schools. For it to be an obligatory qualification such as GCSE. It should be taught from pre-school or primary schools through to secondary schools as part of the national curriculum.

Additional Information

People who are hard of hearing or totally deaf and rely on sign language should not need to be living a life where few are able to communicate or to have to rely on technology.
Every UK citizen should be able to communicate with one another.
