Start an immediate review of the Social Services Framework
A wholesale review of the framework (including policies), competencies, structure and funding model of the social services system, providing tangible actions regards the inadequacy of services and emergency preventive measures where gaps are significant.
There have been far too many examples over the years of children dying when this should have been prevented.
Lessons have not been learned since these instances and recent cases illustrate this. We will not tolerate losing more innocent children as a result of systemic incompetence and the government must now take definitive action.
