Petition Action

Make cookie preferences remembered and permanent on web sites.

Petition Details

To make cookie preference choices made by people browsing made permanent and not have to go through the rigmorale of verifying your choices every time you visit a website, even though it is not the first time on a site, it is completely frustrating and annoying.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

How cookies are retained is a matter for individual websites and browsers, not the Government or Parliament.

As a result it is not possible for the Government or Parliament to take the action you have requested.
