Offer a course of Molnupiravir to all on the JCVI list by end of January.
Make a course of Molnupiravir tablets available to everyone on the JCVI priority list to collect at a pharmacy or have delivered, to have on-hold in case of Covid-19 infection.
With shortages already occurring in LFT and PCR tests, as well as the prioritisation of booster jabs and the new wave of Omicron predicted to render much of the NHS overstretched, having a course of Molnupiravir to take at home (under the guidance of a GP or 111) in case of Covid-19 infection would help keep vulnerable people safe and out of hospital during what may be a dangerous time rife with staff and resource shortage.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about treatment for patients, including those suffering from COVID, are a clinical matter for the NHS and individual clinicians, not the Government or Parliament.
