Petition Action

Do not implement a circuit breaker lockdown

Petition Details

This petition calls on the UK Government NOT to force the public into another Circuit Breaker Lockdown.

Additional Information

There are reports the Cabinet is discussing another circuit breaker Lockdown. However there are a number of reasons (below) why we are calling on the Government to reject this idea.

1) UK daily Covid 19 related deaths have been on a downward trend 2) We believe it is too late for a lockdown to stop the spread of the Omicron variant
3) The financial and economic impact could be crippling for the beleaguered hospitality industry
4) The mental health impact on the public and especially young people could be catastrophic.
