We call on the Goverment to prevent the closure of park road swimming bath's and sports centre
We call on the Government to prevent the closure of park road swimming bath and sport's centre.
Park Road Swimming Bath's and Sports Centre hold's a Historical and Cultural significance to our community since 1874. It has served our community for 140 years and is one of the oldest remaining public bath's. Since the closure of Toxteth Sports Centre this has left a huge gap in the prevision of sports facility's in the Toxteth and Liverpool 8 area. Both noted to be among the top 10 most deprived areas in the country. The attendances have risen year on year with Local school's and groups all use this facility for swimming lessons, astro turf pitches are well used every week, summer camp's for children are over subscribed and it is a centre of excellence for Gymnastics and a much needed facility.
