Commercial Surrogacy
With same sex marriage allowed in England and Wales by March 2014 and Scotland in Autumn 2014, the right for equality in all areas of life is truly overdue. With homosexual's partners wishing to have a child of their own and not being able to due to the Surrogacy Arrangements Act 1985, the notion of equality has been disallowed by our UK government.
Surrogacy arrangements are not legally enforceable within the United Kingdom. A surrogate mother would maintain the legal right of determination for the child, even if genetically unrelated. (Source: Wikipedia)
We call for the government to take this petition into consideration and bring forth the eradication of oppression.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Apologies - can you resubmit this* being more specific about what you want the Government to do? It's not entirely clear.
*The Surrogacy Arrangements Act 1985 is the responsiblity for the Department of Health, and so they would be responsible for amendments, if that is what you are petitioning for.
