Petition Action

Restore the UK to a functional democracy under Rule of Law.

Petition Details

This government has failed in almost every conceivable way.
Its ministers have no respect for democracy or the laws that they themselves make.
Parliament has entirely failed in its duty to hold them accountable because it puts party & personal perks before the nation.
They should step aside.

Additional Information

Parliament should treat this petition as a letter before action as required by Civil Procedure Rules.
Parliament has failed to regulate itself against self and party interests and as a consequence we have the worst possible government at the worst possible time.
We are trapped in a two party state because it favours those two parties to keep it so. Those parties do not represent the people at all.

We will seek an injunction in the courts for you to enact effective reform or step aside.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about actions by the Government and Parliament, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

We can't accept petitions about honours or appointments, which includes calling for Ministers or the Government to be sacked, resign, or to be subject to a recall vote or a vote of no confidence. Petitions also cannot be used to submit a letter before action.
