Petition Action

Donate the money for the London firework display to the NHS.

Petition Details

Donate the money that would have been used for the London firework display to the NHS this year. Due to the pandemic the display has been cancelled, why not use the money to support the endless amount of hard work the NHS staff have done over the past few years.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about funding for the London firework display are a matter for the Mayor of London and London Assembly, not the UK Government or Parliament.

The London Assembly has its own petitions process. You can find out more about how to petition the London Assembly here: www.london.gov.uk/about-us/london-assembly/petitions
