Review language around delays in children
When a child is going through milestones checks, if they are not meeting them or showing signs of autism the words red flags is always used and I want that to change. It is so negative and normally used for something horrific and I want it to be changed to signs or indicators
Having a child with additional needs or a delay is hard enough as a parent. With everything you have to physically do for them, the emotional toll can be hard and to have it spoken about in such a negative way just makes everything so much harder. It shouldn't be so emotionally demoralising discussing a child's needs

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about the language professionals use when checking the development of a child are a matter for the relevant professional bodies and individual professionals, not the Government or Parliament. As a result it is not possible for the Government or Parliament to take the action you have requested.
