Special needs students to study mainstream subjects
I find that special needs children and young adults with learning difficulties, do not teach proper mainstream subjects like history and geography, for example I went to special needs school, and they didn't teach these subjects at all same for the other special needs schools out there,
I want the Government to teach those subjects to the young kids and adults with learning difficulties, some are very intelligence and well-connected with the knowledge of the subjects.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The national curriculum sets out programmes of study and attainment targets for all subjects at all 4 key stages. All local-authority-maintained schools in England, including schools for students with special needs, must teach these programmes of study.
Deciding how to deliver the curriculum is a matter for individual schools, not the Government or Parliament, but the Government has published a Code of Practice on Special Educational Needs, to promote a consistency of approach to meeting children’s special educational needs.
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to review how the national curriculum is delivered by schools for students with special needs, if that's something you'd like to happen.
