Carers - more financial help while caring & when Caring finishes help into work
Help Carers with their finances while caring and when Bereavement happens, help back into work
We are an ageing population, and as a result family members are now looking after their parents more now than ever before.
As a result, those carers only receive a paltry £67.60 a week, which will often result in more than 35+ hours a week.
This should be significantly increased to improve the living standards of the carers, along with more importantly, those being cared for.
After a lengthened period of time as a carer for a parent, following this there needs to be vastly more support for the carer to get back into work within society & finding employment.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
We have published the following petition, which you might like to sign:
Increase Carer's Allowance to equal 35 hours at the National Living Wage: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/599102
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to create a fund to increase support for former carers to enter work, if that's something you'd like to happen.
