Change the Rules to allow people from outside the UK to sign petitions
On many petitions, people from outside the UK want to sign our petitions before finding out they can’t.
We understand that this is for UK Government and Parliament but we think it’s only fair that everyone can support petitions.
There are many petitions that people from outside the UK supports, why should they not be able to sign petitions that they agree with?
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Currently anyone who is a UK resident or British citizen can sign a petition. British citizens can sign petitions even if they are living outside of the UK.
If what you want is for anyone to be able to sign petitions started on our website, irrespective of their nationality or where they reside, we could accept a petition requesting that.
