Petition Action

Make the Ministerial code legally binding to ensure accountability and ethics.

Petition Details

By making the Ministerial code and seven principles of public life legally binding will ensure sound professional conduct confidence in our leaders.

Additional Information

In light of the recent media reported breaches of the Ministerial code and seven principles of public life the British public are seeing repeated unethical and unprofessional behaviour. Accountability must be underpinned by the law as it is in other professions.
It is not fair to have code of conduct laws for other professions. This disparity is eroding trust and respect.
