Ensure the BBC is protected as a national service, free from political whims.
Discuss the possible ways to ensure the BBC is funded in perpetuity, adjusting the current license fee model and allowing it to be funded much like any other public service.
This funding needs to be guaranteed, and within reason, not be subject to the whims of the sitting government.
The BBC is a public service that is recognised and respected globally.
The future of the cooperation needs to be independently reviewed and separated from political interests.
There is no doubt that the licence fee model needs updating, however it is important that the review and subsequent changes does not allow the BBC to be turned into a profit driven enterprise - which is the inevitable consequences of a subscription service.
The variety and breadth of programming needs to be protected.
