The government must rescind emergency authorisation of neonicotinoid pesticides
George Eustace MP, Secretary of State for the Environment, cannot sanction deployment of neonicotinoid pesticides given the link between use of these extremely harmful chemicals and the dramatic decline in bee populations.
Allowing the use of neonicotinoid pesticides anywhere in the UK is completely at odds with goverment aims to protect the environment and restore wildlife habitats. A red line must be drawn banning their use altogether, with no get-out clauses for emergency deployment.
