The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about language around abuse and violence in the home, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
There is no specific offence of 'domestic violence and domestic abuse'; however, the term can be applied to a number of offences committed in a domestic environment.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
