Protect the WAV disabled parking bays in Montague Place, Worthing
We need to protect the eight disabled bays in Montague Place, Worthing, to allow specially-designed vehicles to unload passengers safely into Worthing Town Centre.
Currently, four disabled bays in Montague Place have been taken out of action to allow for 'social distancing', and even opening four was a fight. Even though social distancing has ended, the remaining bays are closed and a consultation has been had to close the whole of Montague Pl and move the spaces to a dangerous location just around the corner and on a busy road. WAV will no longer be able to unload even with alterations to the suggested bay making the town centre non-accessible to many.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about local parking provision are a matter for your local authority, not the Government or Parliament. As a result it is not possible for the Government or Parliament to take the action you have requested.
You could raise this issue with a local councillor, who represents you. You can use this page to find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them: www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors
You can also petition your local council directly. Find out how to petition your council here: www.westsussex.gov.uk/about-the-council/have-your-say/petitions-to-the-county-council/
