An MP should be allowed to call another MP a liar in the House of Commons.
When an MP has lied in the House of Commons another MP should be allowed to call them a liar. Rules which allow an MP to lie but don't allow another MP to point out the dishonesty are archaic.
The current rules give the impression that the House of Commons protects liars, which brings parliament into disrepute. More honesty is needed in public life and that isn't going to be achieved if dishonesty can't be addressed directly.
