Revoke the changes made to the highway code introduced on the 29th January 2022

Petition Details

Revert back to original highway code giving vehicles right of way at junctions, as the new rule encourages pedestrians to be negligent with their safety. Too many risks arise when vehicles have to slam on brakes to phone using pedestrians causing further damage and injury to car users.

Additional Information

If the government wishes to stick to this new highway code rule then include in it that pedestrians must not be using phones or headphones at a junction, which is a rule already inforced on car users.
