Allow Liars to be called Liars.
We call for an end to the convention and for Members, who have evidence of an untruth by a fellow Member, to be allowed to mention it within the House without curtailment by the House authority.
The public deserve to know that elected representatives will be truthful and can believe in the veracity of the statements made within the House of Commons. Despite the doctrine of Parliamentary Privilege, it is an old and outdated convention that Members cannot accuse another Member of lying within the confines of the House, even where clear evidence exists.
