A General Election should take place If a serving Prime Minister resigns.
I would like Parliament to debate this in the House of Commons.
I think the law should be replaced , that if a serving Prime Minister , resigns or defeated in a Leadership Contest by his own MP's;
Then whoever is the New Prime Minister should have to call a General Election within 6 months of becoming Prime Minister.
This law should apply to all parties.
Conservatives, Labour, Liberal Democrats , Green Party etc
