Enforce Energy Companies to establish a lower electric rate for heat pumps
Ask electric companies to create a lower electric rate for heat pumps
The uk has committed to be zero emissions by 2050 and is changing the way we heat our homes and buildings! The Uk wants to install 600,000 heat pumps per year and we need a dedicated electric rate for heat pumps

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The rates charged by utility companies for supplying electricity to UK customers, within the limits set by the energy price cap, are a matter for those utility companies, not the UK Government or Parliament. This means the Government is not directly responsible for the action this petition calls for.
You could have a petition calling on the Government to create a separate price cap for renewable energy, if that is something you'd like to see happen.
