£4.3bn covid loans and furlough payments fraud fully investigated and recovered
To confirm a full investigation and recovery of monies loaned out via covid measures using the full weight of the law to ensure recovery.
These loans and payments are not to be written off.
The National Audit Office has estimated that as much as £5bn of this could have been fraudulently claimed.
Lord Agnew resigned over the lack of action and confirmed that the Treasury "appears to have no knowledge or little interest in the consequences of fraud to our economy or our society", adding that a mix of "arrogance, indolence and ignorance freezes the government machine".
The Government and the Treasury need to be held accountable for getting this money back.
