Petition Action

Immediate intervention via NHS/CAHMS/CYPS for a Child’s Mental/Additional Needs

Petition Details

To change the waiting list system currently for children suffering from suspected ADHD/ASD/ODD/ or Complex Social, emotional and mental health needs and intervene immediately providing therapy/medication via outreach services such as GP practises, private counselling and psychiatric services.

Additional Information

Too many children are being failed by the current system. How many children do you know who are being denied access to CAHMS etc for their additional, educational and psychological needs as they don’t qualify & told they are on a waiting list like it is some kind of privilege? Why aren’t the NHS, via CAHMS/CYPS not recognising children need help now not in 2, 3, 4 years? What is it going to take to recognise that GP practises need more rights to enable more to be done to help our children?
