The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you're concerned about housing for homeless armed forces veterans, however it's not clear what you want the Government to do in order to achieve this.
In any case, the legal responsibility for securing permanent accommodation for unintentionally homeless people in priority need rests with local authorities, not the UK Government. The Government is therefore not directly responsible for the action this petition calls for.
You could have a petition calling on the Government to provide funding to help find homes for homeless veterans, if that is something you'd like to see happen.
