Raise the salary band for sterile services technicians & supervisors in England.
Increase the salary of NHS sterile services technicians and supervisors to a band 3 and 4.
Sterile services technicians and supervisors in Scotland and wales are paid a salary band above England, Currently England employees are paid the same salary as porters.
Sterile services is a key facility enabling hospitals to operate, working under pressure to meet patients needs while maintaining a very high standard of practice. Employees are under immense pressure as mistakes put patients at risk, also staff handle contaminated instruments which also puts themselves at risk.
