Include positive lateral flow test results in the daily Covid figures
Include positive lateral flow test results in the daily Covid case figures as reported on https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/cases
As people no longer need to obtain a PCR test after a positive lateral flow test, the figures produced by the Government do not accurately reflect the position of Covid within the community. By including positive lateral flow test results (and taking into account people who test positive for both lateral flow and PCR) will ensure the figures are more representative of the situation.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Case data includes all positive lab-confirmed PCR test results plus: in England, positive rapid lateral flow tests unless followed by a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours, and in Northern Ireland, positive rapid lateral flow tests.
