There should also be a 1 month cooling off period, whereby estate agent advertised properties must remain listed, and all bids for the property in question taken into consideration.
The current commodified system for housing system not only makes housing unobtainable for first time buyers, it is also profoundly unjust and in many instances demoralising.
In the current post covid climate, houses in the south of England have started to be sold faster than any person of more limited means can fathom.
The market is dominated by a lack of common courtesies, such as waiting a few weeks following an advert posting, for the vendor to receive and analyse competing offers.
