Give dog wardens a better law so a dog doesn't go back to a abused owner.
We need an act of Parliament created in order to prevent all animals from returning to an abusive environment. Dog wardens need more legal rights allowing them to intervene when necessary to reduce the amount of animal abuse cases in the future.
I would like the government to give the dog wardens the right not to give the dogs back to there owners who they know have abused there dog. The dog I found was known to the dog wardens and yet they let the owner take it home I asked them why they didn't report it to the rspca they couldn't answer me I found out because its to time consuming for them.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Animals can already be removed from owners who treat them abusively.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. We could accept a petition calling for increased funding for animal welfare checks, to make sure that dog wardens and others who work in this area have more time to refer cases and follow-up on them.
