Make Hypermobility part of assessment criteria for children with SEND
To add Hypermobility as an assessment criteria when assessing children, young people with Special Educational Needs
Hypermobility is often diagnosed much later and many already have a diagnosis of things such as Autism, ADHD and Sensory Processing Difficulties.
Hypermobility needs to be seen as part of the diagnostic criteria when assessing for SEND. Schools will benefit from understanding the impact of how Hypermobility affects behaviour and will therefore be seen and understood resulting in better outcomes for children and young people.
