single parents not to work until the youngest is in full time education
Forcing single parents into work before their youngest is in full time education needs to stop! Finding work that works around your children is a very hard thing to do.. putting children in childcare is not only experience but not always possible for a child that suffers from separation anxiety
Im having to pay extra childcare cost just to go to work but I don't even earn enough to cover the cost so I have to Palm my children off to friends or family so I can work else my benefits will be stopped! But if they wait until my youngest is in full time education then I could work 25hrs a week with no child care cost and more chance of keeping a job, less benefits claimed and better for my mental health. Being a parent is a full time job and should be seen that way.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We can accept petitions calling for changes to eligibility for benefits and free childcare, but it would need to be clear what changes you want to existing rules.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
