Stop people being able to lie in family court without facing consequences.
It is known that lies can be told in family court to prevent parents access to children by the other parent.There should be criminal charges for lying in family court just as there are in any other courts
Make it a criminal offence which will make people less likely to lie so easily.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Perjury is an offence under the Perjury Act 1911. The offence is committed where a witness under oath willfully makes a material statement in a judicial proceeding which they know to be false or do not believe to be true. It is punishable by a maximum of seven years imprisonment, or a fine, or both a fine and imprisonment.
The current law on perjury already applies to evidence given in family proceedings.
