Environmental agency & Dredging
Following the flooding in the UK in 2013/14 we call upon the government to:
1. Disband the Enviornmental agency and return its authority to a pre-1996 structure of devolved regional responsibility
2. To give those devolved agencies adequate resources to recommence dredging of the rivers in force
3. To scope each of those agencies with a priority of flood defence above bio diversity, environmental protection and conservation.
4, To make those regional agencies accountable to local people either at district or borough level.
