Change the requirements for mortgage approval.
I’d like Parliament to discuss a way for families in this situation to find a way to own property.
Also to prevent landlords becoming too powerful.
To enable U.K. families to have housing security AND financial security more easily. To avoid exacerbating the situation where housing stock is bought up by landlords and is therefore unavailable to families. Essentially to contribute towards creating an equal society.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about barrier to home ownership, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
Decisions about when to offer a mortgage are a matter for individual mortgage providers, not the Government or Parliament.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
