Development and promotion of New English as national language

Additional Information

The Department for Culture and Media to set up a unit to develop New English* as the national language of England along the lines of the Welsh Language Board which is charged with developing Welsh as the national language of Wales. Also that the Department promote the use of New English alongside that of Modern/Common English (Eng-glob, English as global language), as the national language.

*Germanic rather than Latinate, i.e., "last" not "final", "freedom" not "liberty", "worldwide" not "global", two-wheeler" not "bicycle"
