Enact Further Economic Sanctions On Russia-As Suggested by the Ukrainian Embassy

Petition Details

In light of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, we ask the UK government to:
1. Ban all energy trades with Russia
2. Ban foreign investment & prohibit Western government pension funds from investing in Russia
3. Sanction all secondary trading in Russian debt & equities, including existing holdings

Additional Information

4. Sanction all Russian banks
5. Sanction all ruble transactions with Western banks
6. Withdraw Russia from bond and equity investment indices
7. Block Russia from SWIFT
8. Disconnect Russia from the VISA and MasterCard payment systems
9. Freeze Russian foreign assets and sanction Russian Direct Investment
10. Expand personal sanctions to all those on the Western list of sanctions and their families - asset freezes, visa cancelations, passport revocations and repatriations back to Russia
