Professional drivers to be entitled to a full sick pay in contract.
Not receiving a full sick pay encouraging HGV/LGV or and coach/bus drivers returning to work, whether they are fit to work or not, as a result health and safety on the road might be affected.
Mandatory for employers to offer full sick pay for professional drivers.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
The Government sets the rate of Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), which applies to all workers, but is not responsible for setting contractual rights to sick pay which go beyond this. Providing sick pay in excess of SSP is a matter for individual employers, not the UK Government or Parliament.
