Petition Action

Ban news and media coverage of fuel prices/purchasing

Petition Details

Place a ban on the media broadcasting and covering stories on rising fuel prices and panic buying as a result of the conflict in Ukraine. This news is misinformation most if not all of the time and will lead to another fuel crisis as seen in late 2021.

Additional Information

Fuel prices are already too high and this will help to prevent a further rise in fuel costs, as well as another fuel crisis like the one the UK experienced in the latter months of 2021. Media coverage of this leads to panic buying which feeds the issue in a closed loop cycle.
