Petition Action

Re-open all Nightingale hospitals to treat Ukrainian wounded people.

Petition Details

The situation regarding the Ukraine conflict has become far worse, it is only a matter of time before they are overwhelmed with casualties. The RAF could supply airlift from Poland to RAF Northolt and ferry wounded to hospitals. The Army Medical Reserves could be deployed to help treat the wounded.

Additional Information

The Ukrainians are being subjected to cluster bomb and artillery bombardment, their hospitals will soon be overwhelmed. This measure helps relieve the pressure from them. The RAF airlift capability will allow transport with MERT elements. They can be housed temporary through the immigration system with removal of illegal immigrants overstaying in hotels.

The Russians simply do not care about civilian casualties, there is a humanitarian duty to care for wounded, the vulnerable and the young.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.

You may wish to sign this petition which calls for a similar action: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/610094

Deciding what action was necessary to increase NHS capacity to treat Ukrainian nationals would be an operational matter for the NHS, not a decision for the UK Government or Parliament.
