This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about corruption and wrongdoing, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

There is already a Ministerial Code, that sets out the standards of conduct expected of ministers and how they discharge their duties, and a Code of Conduct for MPs, that sets out the standards of behaviour expected of Members of Parliament as they carry out their work.

You can read the Ministerial Code here: www.gov.uk/government/publications/ministerial-code

And you can find out more about the Code of Conduct for MPs here: www.parliament.uk/site-information/glossary/code-of-conduct-for-mps/

We can accept petitions calling for changes to the Ministerial Code or Code of Conduct for MPs, but it would need to be clear what change you want.
