Emergency Reduction of Fuel Duty & or VAT on Fuel due to damagingly high prices
To hastily implement reductions to Duty and VAT at the pumps.
Taking 10p per litre off duty and reducing VAT to 10%.
Inflation is already at decades highs and with rising fuel costs this only increases costs of everything else.
This is damaging to many businesses with tight margins and also to households, who with already high gas and electric hikes and spiralling council tax bills will see major crunches on finances.
this will only cause more economic hardship as businesses fold, retail & leisure slump and any economic recovery from COVID is at best stalled, or at worst reversed.
