Give fair Mileage reimbursement rates for work-related car travel
To increase the pence per mile on what we can claim for using our own cars and petrol to complete our jobs as a community nurses.
As a community nurse working for the NHS in wales We receive 45per mile for the first10,000 miles then around 23p for each additional mile after.
The government needs to increase how much pence per mile we can receive in order for us to afford to run our cars efficiently.
We need to feel that there is a bonus in how much petrol or diesel we put into out cars each month, and not that we worried we can’t fill the car up. I love my job and wouldn’t change it for the world but some weeks I can’t afford to put diesel in my car and end up borrowing from family. There has even been times when diesel comes before buying food for my family
