Review and fund improved testing and treatment for urinary tract infections
We have an epidemic of people suffering the cataclysmic and debilitating effects of chronic urinary tract infections. We believe the current dipstick testing conducted on the NHS is flawed and unreliable, leaving millions of us in constant agonising pain. If urosepsis develops, this can be fatal.
Women’s health has been underfunded and overlooked for far too long. This must change. The Government should review how services can move beyond current outdated and flawed testing for UTIs and offer patients the care they need more quickly. It should also provide desperately needed funding and support for better pain management and treatment options, and additional education for the medical profession, so that patients are no longer left to suffer from this cruel and agonising condition.
