Petition Action

Allow Ukrainian refugees to occupy properties from sanctioned Russian Oligarchs

Petition Details

The Government and Parliament should debate housing Ukrainian refugees and asylum seeker in the properties and boats of sanctioned Russian and possibly Belarussian Oligarchs if they are also sanctioned.
This sholud be done using the 5 minute rule or other quicker device.

Additional Information

This will be an important message to President Putin and other dictators that you cannot seize the land and wage war on democratic countries without consequences.

If Parliament does not use its influence other dictators around the world will follow Putins actions.

At a time when there is division this should show the UKs joint abhorence to what is happening in Ukraine. The Government should also encourage other nations who have seized property or super yachts to do the same.
