Make pigeons the national animal.
Lions are the current national animal. The only lions in the UK are locked up in zoos and definitely not roaming free. Pigeons are free.
Lions - whilst resilient - are not British and do not truly represent the country. Pigeons are a staple of our culture and are widely associated with the UK.

This isn’t something that the UK Government or Parliament would be able to do. The lion's status as the UK's national animal is a matter of tradition rather than having any legal or constitutional status.
