Determine who is wholly dependent on the NHS for their medical needs.
Establish which MPs and Members of the House of Lords (and thereby the respective proportions) and their immediate families have been and shall continue to be exclusively dependent on the NHS for all their medical needs.
MPs and members of the House of Lords make important decisions about the NHS, especially with respect to funding, organisation and performance monitoring, and it is only reasonable that the public have clear sight of how important is the NHS to MPs and members of the House of Lords. If a significant number of MPs and members of the House of Lords are using private medical services, why should the general public have confidence in their ability to make good decisions about the NHS?

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions around healthcare are individual matters for Members of Parliament and their families. It is not within the Government's remit to require Members or their families to disclose private and potentially sensitive information about how they access medical treatment.
